Description
I like pretty much everything Tyler Jenkins and Matt Klindt do, and Black Badge is my favorite series of theirs so far. Here's a page from the first issue, along with colors by Hilary Jenkins on a separate board, which are also gorgeous.

I think Tyler's art doesn't get the recognition it deserves, and frankly, he's had a couple projects fall through in recent times so he set up a GoFundMe page to carry him through a rough patch. If you're so inclined, check it out:

Do they come together like Silverheels?  He's using the brush technique in the inks as well, so an overlay would block a lot of the color.

The Silverheels pages I have vary in terms of how much the black lines on the boards resemble a traditionally inked page vs. a traditional blended painting, but all the imagery is on one board; the overlays are just for dialog, captions, and sound effects.

With Black Badge, all OA other than the final issue interior pages and the alternate cover I posted from issue 1 consists of one board with line art, and a second board with painted color that would go beneath the line art, so the black lines all show up.  My guess is the pages were composed digitally, since I haven't seen any acetate overlays, and these books are much more recent than Silverheels, of course.
