Star Wars Kanan the Last Padawan #2 Pg. 5 - Pepe Larraz

As I recall, Kanan was when I first took notice of Pepe's work, I know I was buying the Uncanny Avengers run, but I believe this came first. He was already doing some work with Marvel for 5 years or so before this came out, but having seen some of the earlier work I feel like he hit another gear when he got Kanan. Then, in my opinion, he came to his full power with House of X and has been killing it ever since.

If you're unfamiliar, this is a prequel for the character from the Star Wars Rebels cartoon, which I can also recommend. Lots of cool action from Kanan and his master right after Order 66 was given, and the Clone Troopers they were just commanding turn on them.

This is a monoprint. I am always interested in monoprints by Pepe if the price and content are right. Color 3 Arte are the finest printers in the game, and if you've seen one of these in person you know they are of a very high quality. This was a competitive drop and I missed out on my main target, but was happy to walk away with this one. I don't know if I would buy a monoprint again with spot color, if I'm being completely honest, but I do feel like it's executed well here.
