An absolutely magnificent example of the art-first storytelling of the Black, White, and Red anthologies from rising star Danny Earls! This tale sees Vader return to the planet Hoth alone, against the advice of his General, to investigate a strange signal only to be confronted with a pack of Wampas. Earls' visual storytelling abilities shine here as the story is told with such clarity that you might be surprised to find out that the published version had dialogue. Earl's inking skills shine here as well, with a liberal use of inkwash that gives the pages a rich texture and and sense of space. Pencil and ink on 12 sheets of art board. Each measures 11 3/4" x 16".
