Description
It was 6 years ago to the day that I received and posted my first interior page from The Authority - one of my favorite series and one that helped bring me back to comics.

Over the years I bought as many pages as I could from the Hitch and Quitely runs (the Adams pages rarely come to market), but as our hobby has matured and prices have ripened, I've been passing on additional pages.

However, when this page showed up in Albert's most recent drop, I couldn't resist bringing things full circle, as this page connects to the very first Authority page I got.

Featured on both pages are the Doctor and members of the 'Faux'vengers. Page 03 has editorial notes mentioning some changes to make the characters a little less like the Avengers, and it's cool to see those changes implemented over the two pages. On this page we can see where the 'Wasp' figure's stinger and wings have been inked over, and the 'Cap' shield was simply not inked, though we can still see the pencils.

Thanks for looking, and have a nice week!

This book had some special runs and Quitely's art was one of the reasons I didn't drop the book after Ellis and Hitch left. Congrats!

My only familiarity with Authority was the Planetary crossover, but I feel like I need to check out the series. Congrats!

What else should I be?
All Authority
What else on the page?
Everyone is gay
What else could I write?
I don't have the right
What else Frank Quitely?
All Authority

In the run
In the run, I feel as one
In the run
In the run
Vinny
Vinny

I wish I was like you
Frank Quitely amused
Find this best of all
Every ink is by Scott
I'll take Albert’s page
Millar sees the game
Doctor ’Vengers burn
Showing all the ashes of his enemies

Frank Quitely is an irreplaceable artist in this time and space. Although our galaxy of artists stretch beyond earth's atmosphere, only masters like Quitely remind us that their pen and ink kissed boards are limited and finite, soaring beyond the speed of light. Though nearly beyond his grasp, the Mortal M L took hold of near unobtainable greatness.

Excellent looking page from a great series. Thanks for pointing out the editorial changes, Mikail, I love pages like this which give us some behind the scenes insight into the production process that readers will never know about!

Great pickup, Mikail! Frank Quitely’s work on The Authority is phenomenal. I absolutely love this run, the way he handles scale, especially with the giant character, is unparalleled. The compositions, and sense of weight make him feel massive and the page has all that great Quitely detail.

Fantastic! As much I loved the Ellis/Hitch run, Millar/Quitely really dialed up the bananas quotient.
