Conan as only BWS could do him. This page sets the pace for the story and immediately draws you in.
Beautiful! His art just seemed to get better and better and started off pretty darn good. :)
Those vines and thorns all over the ground just gives me goosebumps at how harsh this journey must be. Really thick inks as BWS adapts Conan into the Rune look.

Stylin' and profilin'! It's a wonderful BWS Conan image from this most unexpected of comic books of the 90s.
IMHO Barry Windsor-Smith can do no wrong. This somber, moody piece is exquisitely composed and masterfully rendered. A marvelous example of BWS's massive talent.
There's a real world-weariness to this (especially for the horse). It is unexpectedly loose and jagged, and the thorny terrain is very alien. Nice BWS splash!
