DescriptionAfter getting the amazing Usagi piece from Jared Cullum, an artist local to my city, I decided it would be fun to get a sketch of his archnemesis Jei-san from another local comic artist. I picked this up at the Pittsburgh Comic Book Show, a budding comic show with a focus on collectors and artists.I've been an admirer of Ruggs work for some time and have met him on numerous occasions as a consequence of living in the same area. Hes always a pleasure to meet and his appreciation for comics as a medium is nigh unmatched. So of course he is too a fan of Stan Sakais legendary work, and it shows in his rendition of one of its greatest villains. This certainly won't be my last Usagi piece, but I hope it isn't my last Rugg piece either. He can adapt to many a style and his illustrations exude skill and the fun he has creating them. A great piece with Rugg using thin pen line desnsity to build up to the dark imagery! The added screen tone is going the extra mile.

He exceeded my expectations capturing the evil in those eyes with the subtle red too
