Very cool cover for sure!!!
Baller
Classic and familiar battle cover design. But of course done in Ed's own inimitable style.
damn, not sure there's enough characters on this one! might need to look for a better example. ;-p
this is a badass opposing sides colliding cover, congrats - patience paid off on this one.
Is everybody ready to rock?
Let me tell you something about rock!
It was love with Milestone
Down by the river ´till Duke came along
But your faith in League
Gave me the cover to set me free
I don’t wanna be
Hunting for Benes for the rest of our lives
Let´s be creative ‘til the day that collides
Now do I have to tell ya
One more time
YEAH!
I used to wake up and play
Back in my childhood days
Posing figures’ such a DC game
They never gavе me a thanks
To let my illustration dance
Til I came up with a Twenty Eight
Down in the mines, All of the line (Craftin´)
Out to confront, Having some fun (Laughin´)
Found the love I´m dreaming of yes now
I´m never ever lookin back cause
The worlds collide
I move mountains with my mind
I feel the high
With the power that electrifies
(Here’s Milestone)
I feel alive
Killer showdown! I wonder how long they stare at each other before the first punch/eye laser happens?
Can you imagine if this piece had a robot, a spaceman, a ninja, a cowboy, a monster, a superhero, a alien and a barbarian?
Been watchin’ the pages, searchin’ for years,
Flippin’ through sketches, chasin’ your fears.
JLA clashin’, a battle so grand,
Ed Benes’ lines like fate in your hand!
When worlds collide, the heroes rise,
Frozen in time under cosmic skies.
From Birds of Prey to Justice calls,
Found your cover, now you’ve got it all.
Let the ink tell stories, let the pencils scream,
Every stroke’s a legend, every ink line a dream.
Held a few before, but you let ‘em go,
Now this one’s yours, and it steals the show!
Yeah, lucky break or destiny’s hand,
Justice stands where the legends land.
Been a long time fan, now the wait is through,
Got your cover, see? Your dream came true!
What an epic showdown/face-off cover! And the story was written by the late, great Dwayne McDuffie to boot!!! Great addition to the collection!!!!
The only question that remains open is, would you sell this one if you were to land a BoP cover? ;)
Wow great cover! Reminds me of the X-Men Animated Series intro.
Absoutely stellar piece of art and a perfect example of Benes' best work! Congrats!
Benes looks great on this JLA classic face off battle cover, congrats!
Wow!!!
Ed Benes is one of the most underrated comic artists I can think of. Why he's not doing more regular work I'm not sure, but his work is always top notch. Congrats!
