Description
This is the beginning of an 8-page story included in the DC: The Doomed and the Damned one-shot published in 2020. The main image has word balloons that I've added digitally. The additional images show the unadorned original art and the final, published page.

I've always been a big fan of Etrigan, and Riley is one of the most interesting artists around.

It's particularly interesting to note how much had been changed or tweaked digitally, and how much embellishment the color artist has added by way of gradients, screentone textures, and power signatures. I really wonder how much collaboration there was between the artists.

It's a short story, so we jump right into the action!

Big fan of Riley's art and this is a ncie example of it! Plus, can't beat a good Jason Blood / Demon book. Thanks for sharing!

Riley, Rossmo into you
You draw Hal Jordan
That’s Damned and Doom
Riley, you spin the Demon
Artwork is moving, so it won’t stick around

Every rhyme you look Riley
My art is jumping, it's easy to dream

You buy me DC
I just can't sleep
ML so excited, he inked too deep
Whoa oh Coast City, but it seems midnight
Baby, thinking of Doom keeps Green up all night

This was completely unexpected.

Riley's work is so distinct and stylized in a way that reminds me of watching DC animation as a kid (hell as an adult too). I really love that image of Hal Jordan at the top of the page heading skywards with a Ferris Wheel (i think?) in the background. The way you wrote the description I couldn't tell if you got the whole 8 page story and this is the start of the postings or you just got the start of the story with this page - but either way, pretty cool way to kick it off

The captions appear to be digital, but damn, the word balloons appear to be hand drawn on the board. You're really getting good at this!

Love how MUCH is packed into these pages!  Characters, dialogue, action, and pure art.  Congrats on the batch!
