DescriptionTrojan War - This page shows the origin of the Iliad conflict - Paris choosing Menelaus' wife Helen.The middle of the page hearkens back to when a golden apple inscribed with "To the Fairest" is placed in Paris' hands. Of the top three contenders (Hera, Athena and Aphrodite), Paris chooses Aphrodite, who promises to give him Helen.
