Description
I've had this art for over 33 years. It's about time I post it! I love the cinematic feel of this splash! And this issue actually was split with Jon Bogdanove and pages by Curt Swan with parallel storytelling!

More information!

Synopsis for "The Curse of the Atomic Skull"
Believing he is the character of an old serial, the Atomic Skull imitates all dialogue and actions from the show, confusing Superman with the movie's character, Rocket Man. Superman takes Skull out of the cinema, but Skull steals a bike and grabs Lois Lane (confusing her with the movie counterpart and Skull's love interest, Zelda). The chase takes them to the ruins of S.T.A.R. Labs, where Emil Hamilton (following the role of Dr. Electron) helps Superman absorb the Atomic Skull's radioactive energy, turning Joseph to his normal self again.

I bet Atomic Skull does great dramatic readings!  A clever parallel storytelling layout used throughout this book.

I love the story being told visually through the film strips design. Nice half-splash, too!

My son, you win the crown. You didn't bring me diamonds or rubies, but you helped me up when I was down.
