THOR #409 page 29. Back-up story "To Fight the Unbeatable Foe!"

Great page drawn by Mike Mignola and inked by Bob Wiacek. Does Uroc remind anyone else of Hellboy? At least the shaved-off horns have that Hellboy look.

Great to see Mignola doing a Kirby-esque monster. Uroc's gaping mouth and blunted teeth in panel 5 reminds me a bit of Goom from Tales of Suspense.

I loved this and the previous issue's five page back-up story by Mignola from 1989. I asked Mike about the originals at a SDCC but he didn't own them anymore. I found this one page somewhere (I forget now) and never saw another page from either story - until I just checked on CAF earlier today and saw Chaykin Dude's great page from #408.

When Mignola fuses the Kirby aesthetic for the late 80's here and before in Cosmic Odyssey, we knew it would be a winning combination heading to the 90's!
