I confess that I've never heard of this artist, but after checking out more of her art, I can see the appeal. This is a very nice cover.
Per your suggestion, I went ahead and took a picture!
Striking piece!
Love the noirish approach and the composition here.
I along with you, love it for the sake of the art alone...gives me a Maroto or Nino vibe.
I picked up some of Dani's art at a CAL a few years back without knowing anything about her, nor the book. This is a unique composition also!
She's such a compelling artist, and you were right to pick this up based on the artistic merits alone. Good eye.
Very nice!
This piece would be suited PERFECTLY as a new cover to a collection of Friday Foster strips!
Dani's style stands out among the crop of her class of newer artists to emerge in the 2020s. I've been tempted by random pieces I've seen myself even when I didn't have a connection to the source material. This is a really cool composition and vibe. I know nothing about the book either, but feels like a piece you could display and no one would ever assume it was comic book related.
LOVE this one!!! Incredible piece. Congrats.
Duke fills up my senses
Like a night in a Cadence
Like ink fountains in springtime
Like Abbot in the rain
Like artwork hit the paydirt
Like the Dani emotions
Groo fills up my senses
Fulfill me again
Dani's an incredible artist and this is a great example. Congrats!
Hot!
This one has that editorial art style I know you love with some extra cool layout design elements. Dani is such a talent.
Amazing work by Dani.
Congrats on the addition and thanks for sharing it here with us.
Shades of Pop Art here, but also hints of artists like the Spanish gang (Jose Gonzales, Esteban Maroto and the likes), plus Jay Scott Pike who did wonderful things on romance comics in the 60's and 70's and not forgetting Jim Steranko, of course, with his one-shot jaw-dropping romance story... All in all, commendable fellow travellers! Great pick, congrats!
Agree. The random piece I have seen from her are quite impressive and this one is great. Love the composition!
Beautiful with a vintage '60s / 70's vibe.
Dani is an amazing artist and this is a fantastic cover. One of the nicest I've seen.
Smoke em if ya got em!
We all need a Dani piece in the collection! Love the pure drama and sense of atmosphere with her stuff and this is no exception. Congrats!
