I was an art snob, in my youth. If it wasn't Adams, or Byrne or Kaluta (who did the cover for this book) or Wrightson, it wasn't happenin', you know? I considered old-time workmen like Dillin and McLaughlin to be 'clunker artists'. I had to grow up to appreciate their talent, and I sure do. So much beautiful stuff going on in this page. This is a great acquisition.
Great page with amazing Canary & Arrow images. Even the inking here is above average, as McLaughlin seems to have been trying to channel the Terry Austin style in places.
