Description

Lovely 10.5" x 8.5" watercolor painting by Japanese artist Himena Kokufuda. I believe it is oil on panel. She does a lovely series of dragon's incorporated into nature I've enjoyed at Haven Gallery and then I saw this pop up at Gallery Sumire in Japan and had to jump on it.

Very calming piece as there are no aggressive angles or corners. The lush foliage and the fantastical tree creature contributes to the theme of humans and nature coexisting in harmony. The lotus and lily pads are very nice to show the slow currents and warm water in this stream.
