CLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!16.25x23-1/8" artboard has pen and ink original art for June 29, 1975 Mickey Mouse Sunday page by Manuel Gonzales (1913-1993), a Disney comics artist best known for his long tenure on the Mickey Mouse comic strip, providing art from 1940 to 1981. Sunday page features 11 panels (plus pasted title stat) of original art, showing Mickey napping in hammock only for Minnie Mouse and one of their nephews to ask to go to the mountains. Mickey of course agrees and drives them there, only to settle back into another hammock. Mickey appears in six panels; Minnie in nine; nephew in eight. "M. Mouse" pasted strip at lower right w/some scattered editorial notations in margins. Copyright strip in seventh strip, KFS distribution strip in sixth. Artboard has been mounted to fabric-covered mat's backing board; overall size is 22-1/8x29-1/8". Art remains clean and Exc. and is ready for framing.
