" Kudos for finding THE page that is most seared into your brain from this sequence! Amazing that you've already owned it for 25 years! I was personally never a huge Gambit fan. I thought he was alright, but I didn't love him. But I have to take this opportunity to say that I finally got around to watching Deadpool/Wolverine a few days ago and in all honesty, although they should've tweaked the costume a little bit (made the purple chest plate darker and not so bright) in a couple of areas (the head piece, even if true to the comics, looked cheesy), Gambit otherwise was pretty badass! I especially liked the card throwing/exploding effects and also thought he did a really nice job with the Cajun accent. So yes, believe it or not, I enjoyed the live action version of Gambit more than I ever did the comic book version! I'm sure I'm in the minority in that regard, but who knows, this may now make me appreciate him more in his comic book appearances. What I know for sure is that I'm actually hoping and looking forward for Marvel to bring him back in a future movie, be it X-Men or just as another guest appearance in someone else's film!

While I (truly) love to see your comments on pieces I post, I strongly believe this one is written with the sole purpose of annoying me and have me rant again 😊
Which other reason could you possibly have to mention the appearance of Gambit in a movie I did not (need to) know he was in and will never ever watch except if I’m gifted the original art page previous to this one in order to do so?
To make it clear(er) and public once again, I don’t care about Gambit or any particular character, I care about CREATORS.
I.E. I would buy a NFL PRO comic written by Alan Moore, a Toxic Avengers one written by Warren Ellis, an Awesome Possum drawn by Michael Golden or a Bat Dung one if drawn by Jason Pearson (and the list is endless) 😉
