Description
As a practicing professional artist for over eighty years Archie Dickens (1907-2004) is something of a legend. His name is most famously connected to a design sold to fashion designer Paul Smith whose shirt adorned British Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2000 at a party political conference: A cuff featured Dickens's favourite model Christine nude which, once noticed, considerably raised the temperature of the media and proceedings. Here she is again, aptly named as 'Party Girl', in this delightful design (39x26cm). The additional close-up images show the fine and delicate air-brush touch of this octogenarian pinup master.

She appears amongst many others in "the pin-up art of ARCHIE DICKENS Volume One, 2003. Grateful thanks to the previous CAF owner for parting with her.

I don't see enough Archie Dickens art here. I'm happy I reclaimed "my" Archie piece, and bought it back for my collection. It's in my CAF, if you'd care to look. Yours is historic. And whimsically fetching, as always with Archie.

Yes Mark, both are classic Dickens - perhaps your delightful piece will appear in 'Archia Dickens 3', it should!
