2025 Mouse Guard Sketchbook Axe Wielders - David Petersen

Picked up this beautiful piece from David Petersen at SDCC. It’s drawn across three separate boards that when joined together depict the history of the wielders of the Black Axe. The artwork is designed to resemble a woven tapestry, adding a rich, medieval feel to the storytelling. This piece appears in the 2025 Mouse Guard Sketchbook: Axe Wielders and spans the first two and last two pages of the book—specifically, the inside front cover and page 1, as well as the final page and the inside back cover.
