Dampyr #70 (2006) pages 72-73: Vampire speed

(The vampires' first torture victim is almost dead.) “He doesn't have the strength to scream anymore. Can I finish him?”

“Go ahead. We still have the woman and the child.”

(Kurjak looks outside and sees the vampires.) “There's one.”

“I'll go.” (Tesla sprints off at super-speed and attacks the sniper on the balcony.) "Surprise!"

“She can see in the dark, right?”

“Exactly, Baldwyn. Let's move slowly, behind Tesla. She'll be our eyes.”

Page 74 (Kurjak) “All clear! Come on, Commander!”

(Tesla) “Kurjak! To your left!”

“I see them!”

(The vampires with their captives) “They've come out into the open.”

“I didn't think they would do that. Their fate is sealed now.”

“They're heading south, away from us. They didn't even understand where we were hiding.”

It's difficult to pick my favorite page by Maurizio Dotti, but page 73 is in the running. Panels 2,3, and 6 have excellent action. I posted this page a couple of years ago when I first got it, but now it's reunited with the previous page which gives context to Tesla's actions. Some of you may recognize page 73, which I posted previously when this gallery was organized differently. It appears here now with the preceding page for the first time.
