Rip Kirby September 24, 1954

This strip has all of the illustrative elements Raymond is known for. The first panel has a beautifully rendered plane and the middle panel has Rip with a beautiful woman using a technique I always marvel at... he uses the pattern in the sleeve to define the space; there is not outer line on the arm. The final panel is a tour-de-force with a nice shot of Kirby and a micro-portrait of just the eye and ear of Charmain. Incredible.
