Those are some real world images Glanzman put on paper! His time in the Pacific theatre prepared him for these stories.

Good to see another Glanzman page! I really love that 2nd panel camera shot/perspective with the close up but also all the detail in the distance all in 1 panel. Really nice

As wonderful as the art is, I find the dialogue just as captivating. Just 19 years after the end of the war, a comic book for kids reflects the lingering animosity towards the Japan. Also like how the story has Marines facing, not only the facing enemy forces, but the enemy of jungle as well.
