Thunderbird by Jim Calafiore

Jim ran a kickstarter a few years ago for his Ned, Lord of the Pit (vol 2). I backed it and added a big time sketch addon. Jim had a few very rough things arise that delayed the book along with these commissions. While it did take a while, there was never a doubt he would not fulfill the commitment. Jim completed my request last week.

This is one of my favorite commissions. If there were variant covers back in those days, this could have been one for Uncanny X-Men 95. With secondary mutations and power level increases I wonder if this story replayed today that somehow Thunderbird might survive. This story did sort of get a revisit in Weapon X-Men (2025). I had hopes for that series and Thunderbird's involvement. It was cancelled after 5 issues. Still, I hope it is not the last we see of John Proudstar.
