Marvel 1985 (2008) pages 20-21: The fury of Doctor Doom

In Mark Millar's charming short series, a child in 1985 sees characters from his comic books come to life in his neighborhood. This DPS, published wordlessly, shows Doctor Doom committing a little arson. The young protagonist Toby Goodman (no relative to Martin?) watches from the shadows, giving a vibe like an early 1970s House of Mystery cover.

This thing is huge, 18”x24”. Edwards works on thin paper rather than Bristol board, and it suffered a couple of tears along the upper edge during the production process. A chunk is missing where it was taped down during the drawing process. The missing chunk doesn't compromise the art itself -- barely!
