Betsy Braddock in Regal Pose - Alan Davis - Illustration

A commission gift from my CAF friend André when he was at the Phoenix Fan Fusion convention with Alan Davis in 2023, he had him do this regal Betsy Braddock (aka Captain Britain/Psylocke).

André knows my love for Psylocke, specifically Betsy Braddock, and to have it by one of her early creators, Alan Davis, who told a lot of her story, after she was created by Herb Trimpe and Chris Claremont (1976, Captain Britain #8). Alan Davis brought her over along with Chris Claremont to American comics in New Mutants Annual #2 (1986) and she formally joined the X-Men in Uncanny X-Men #213 (1987); x-cited that I have a few pieces of this early history in my CAF galleries.

This very regal piece of Betsy Braddock is quite well done and if it was an oil paining you would assume this would be hung up on the walls of their family home, the Braddock Manor in Maldon, Essex, England.

Thanks André, a really great gift to now have in my CAF collection (it only took me a few years to put up, I am very slow and greedy with some of the art).
