Description
Original Human Torch versus Sub-Mariner: Elemental Power (2025)
By Charles Glaubitz (1973-)
14 x 17 in., ink, pro-white, graphite on Strathmore 500
Coppola Collection

Amazing Fantasy… Tales to Astonish… Marvel Mystery… Glaubitz knocks it out of the park and into our imaginations.

I also collect old Japanese woodblock printing (books, book pages, and surimono, none of which is posted at CAF), and I would love to see a classic, multi-block color, mica infused pressing of this, including some overpainting highlights, with some quality paper.

It's subtle, but without colors, Glaubitz handles the flames and the water slightly different to split the background.

His graphical instincts are so good.

That's very cool, Brian.  It's like a German Expressionist woodcut, Marvel-style!

It really deserves to be done as a multi-block color woodblock print. And I don't want some laser-cut, 3D printed blocks, either!
