Happy to see the DPS category return to your gallery after a few months off! Great Immonen page, with that Magik/Colossus splash image alone worth the price of admission I'm sure and then you get some great individual/close up shots and group shot panels as well. Nice addition, congrats!

Wow! Gorgeous DPS from All-New X-Men by Stuart Immonen and Wade Von Grawbadger. Love this spread, especially the almost full page splash of Colossus holding up his little sister contrasted with the smaller panels next to it. Simply a killer DPS! Great pick-up, congrats!

Awesome mix of the old and new X-Men!  Immonen and Von Grawbadger got the best of both worlds with the traditional school uniforms and modern era of slick textures that both use the lush brush inks.

Such a great dps and indeed emotional family moment. I really like how Immonen begins with an open splashy panel to then detail the action on the right to enhance the reading (order).

SPECTACULAR, James!!  Immonen and von Grawbadger brought their Omega-level game to their tenure on All-New X-Men, plain and simple.  That run was arguably their most accomplished, confident, and richest illustration and storytelling period - which is really saying something: in my eyes, they're two of the best there have ever been at what they do... and what they do is so very, very nice (That phrase just came to me!  I totally just made that up right now!).

This spread is sheer insanity on so many levels, and I can't decide which is the most impressive.  From a purely artistic vantage point, the richness and depth of the work is -stunning- and the engineering ("orchestration" is maybe a better word?) involved in pulling it all off is brain-melting.  There is incredible detail on every centimeter of this thing.  The camera placements are varied and interesting.  The character acting is flawless.  There's even a comedy beat!  They throw -EVERYTHING- at this thing and it's never too much; everything has its place and fits perfectly within the tapestry of the greater whole (just like the X-Men themselves).

As a storytelling lift, it may be even more impressive?  Even with events moving at about a million miles an hour here, with the audience being blasted with an overload of new information and situations everywhere they look (alternate future!  new characters!  familiar old characters with enormous and interesting twists!  how did they get there?  what is their backstory?!?), we're never lost.  It's all as fresh and exciting and eye-opening and marvelous as you'd hope a trip to the future -would- be.  It's All-New, baby.  And then look at the published page: the word balloons (remember the word balloons?!?  You still have to account for the word balloons!!) just snap right into place without sacrificing or losing -any- of the storytelling, without adding to the clutter.  Flawless.

And ALL of this is -before- taking into account that breathtaking left page (!!!).  An emotional payload of Krakoan proportions, where (even among the bucketful of "newness" were being dipped in) we get to see something -truly- unique: Colossus and implacable, bad-ass, no-nonsense, tough-as-coffin-nails Illyana SMILING - JOYFULLY, EVEN - in a moment of truest and purest re-connection and warmth.  This is what we as viewers -LOVE- to see, right?  The bonds of family and affection that attract and hold our heroes together, put on full display for us all to revel in: the core electromagnetic forces that bind these Children Of The Atom together.

One of the underlying story sub-currents or questions that ran through this entire fantastic run was the idea of Cyclops's "New Mutant Revolution", and Bendis, Immonen, and von Grawbadger show here that, at its heart, it's all about the shared humanity (Psyche, Cyke!).  Phenomenal, unbelievable piece, James!  Monster kudos, MEGA congrats on the pick up!

(Oh, yeah - and the moustache is cool.  Piotr's own mutant revolution, right there. :)  It's maybe even enough to distract us from the heartbreaking fact that he's also carrying Illyana's soulsword...  That can't bode well for Illyana's future, right?  That the sword has transferred ownership to her brother?  A subtle (AND heavy) dose of potential foreshadowing that amplifies even further the emotional weight of this moment for Colossus (and for us as readers)...  What losses has he had to bear up to this point, and how much could it possibly mean to him to be having this moment right now?  It's not a small ask that is being made of Stuart and Wade here (to say nothing of setting it in the middle of an explosion of "future timeline discovery and stuff"!), but they knock it out of the park (the solar system, galaxy, etc.). Brilliant, James.  :) )
