DescriptionI've been fortunate enough to pick up a Walking Dead related convention sketch or two by Charlie Adlard over the years, but I never was able to land a page from the story since I was always on the look out for something with Zombies on them. However this page went unclaimed on an episode of the Dueling Dealers so I picked it up after the show. A nice father and son moment between Rick and Carl. I love the story telling in this piece, and the way Charlie drew the grass and foliage as well. Just a beautiful artwork from beginning to end.Social/Sharing |

My father and I loved to spend time together. I always remember when he took me into the forest to hunt for the most dangerous game... deer.

A quiet moment of bonding where Rick can teach Carl about things more than hunting. I'm sure in this crazy world where the dead can rise, the important things like shooting bears and throwing furniture at cats get lost in the everyday struggle.

A great page from the series featuring 2 of it's most crucial/important characters! If you can't have zombies on it this is the perfect kind of Walking Dead intimate moment between father and son. Nice pickup!

Congrats on scoring your first story page from the series! These earlier all Adlard pages are magical.

Well bought! A really nice moment with the heart of TWD. Adlard has done a great job with this 'quiet' page and given the viewer a lot of interesting detail.

Zombies not needed. This is a really beautiful and peaceful page that depicts a golden moment how life WAS but no longer is. The last panel really shows how a picture is worth a thousand words. You're right. These are the pages that define what narrative art really is all about.
