DescriptionThis is Tony Harris' cover to Starman #30 featuring the acclaimed Jack Knight version of the character along with the Golden Age hero, the Black Pirate. Harris created the cover as a homage to 19th century illustrator Howard Pyle, the artist who created the look for pirates that has become the standard in popular culture. This homage is a recreation of one of Howard Pyle's illustrations from his Book of Pirates, which was published posthumously in 1921.Social/Sharing |

These switch ups in style were so cool as you'd have to do a double take if this was the title.you were buying. The illustration look really stood out from every other cover in the stands.

One of Harris's best covers for the series, especially as pirate's are close to his heart, and it shows in the end result.

I really wanted to bid higher on this, but I had just purchased the cover to Starman issue #63 the month before and just didn't have the funds.
