Stirs up great memories as the 1976 King Kong movie opened mere days before Eerie 81 hit the stands. This Kelly piece already has enough to evoke the Frazetta piece. The main details missing are the Manhattan cityscape and landmarks, but the main action is present.
Wow, that's an interesting story. Ive seen a few Ken Kelly cover recreations and this is the best one.
Is there more to the story about how you finally recieved it?
Unfortunately I never received it. Once I returned stateside I was unable to contact anyone from the estate. All I have is this image Ken sent me when I was in Iraq.
