Psylocke Commission by Celina

I first noticed Celina's work on her Red Sonja covers. I loved the hyper-realism in her art and of course, she illustrates the female form beautifully.

I contacted her via her eBay account to see if there was an opportunity for a commission, this was somewhere around 2021, but she had a tight schedule so she wasn't sure if she could do one.

She then reached out to me out of the blue circa 2023 to say she had completed my commission. I was taken aback having not heard from her for 2 years, but I was delighted. Unfortunately, the commission wasn't to my tastes, and for the first time in my collecting life, I had to decline it. I really felt guilty about it, but it didn't sit right.

Fast forward to 2025, Celina again reaches out to me to say she had finished another version of Psylocke and this time, I was blown away. In the time I was making payment, I also lost my pet dog and Celina was so empathetic and shared her own experiences of losing a pet.

This commission will always have the initial backstory, but I cherished the personal communications we had thereafter and just an important reminder that we are all human and go through similar obstacles in life.
