Description
Hanna-Barbera studios began developing concepts for rides in 1970 that would become a part of The Happy Land of Hanna-Barbera at the new Kings Island Amusement Park in 1972. This particular rendering was designated for the Sunshine Turnpike ride. Shaggy, Scooby, and their green car have a combined image area of 4.75" x 4.5" on a print background measuring 16.5" x 10.25"

Scooby and the Gang were big draws in their early years and it was beneficial for both the park and the show to get in front of as many kids as possible.  It worked as they are still culturally recognized half a century later.
