Thumb powered! Remarque by Wayne Unten, Pasadena

           Wayne Unten is an animator for Disney Animation Studios since 2005. He was a supervising animator for Frozen. After work, he creates 2D animation on the animatingforfun.com site. Wayne offered three flip books at LightBox Expo in Pasadena. I purchased the first one with this young aviator mounting a mechanical grasshopper. The latter was filmed at a local playground.


           I first met Wayne at the Eyvind Earle exhibition at the Walt Disney Family Museum years ago. He recognized my face because I help out at my brother’s San Diego Comic Con booth. At Lightbox, Wayne said he saw me at the Mary Blair exhibit this year when Lorelay Bove and Brittney Lee were speaking.


            Eren Unten was sharing the booth with her husband. I bought some of her illustrated books last year and I bought a sheet of book lovers stickers this time.
