Description
Keith Pollard_Amazing Spider-Man #200, page 6 (1979, historic issue with Burglar who killed Uncle Ben, & Peter Parker, Spiderman)

Beautiful page from BRONZE AGE 1979 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, drawn by the great Keith Pollard and inked by the great Jim Mooney, from the story titled: “The Spider and the Burglar... a Sequel.” This beautiful page shows the BURGLAR (Final appearance; dies) WHO KILLED UNCLE BEN IN THE FIRST PANEL! PETER PARKER APPEARS IN 5 OF THE 6 PANELS WITH ANNA MAY WATSON as he searches for clues to help him find the person who apparently murdered his Aunt May, Peter Parker, powerless as Spider-Man, thanks to a chemical depressant courtesy of Mysterio. The pages of ASM from the BRONZE AGE of the 1970s are VERY hard to find in today's collecting world, and even more so when we talk about the historic and well-rounded issue AS#200. I can now say that I have pages from the even-numbered centenary issues AS#200 and AS#400. Now I only need AS#100 and AS#300, but I suspect that will be a near-impossible task.

The anniversary issues were a major jumping on point for new readers without constant renumbering to issues 1s.  For people in the 80's, they would have gone back to this as their starting point to being introduced to Spidey comics.  So it's significant for story and personal meaning to many kids of the time.

The classic double sized issue. So many secrets revealed. The drama. The pain. Redemption? I nearly grabbed this from you know who. I'm so glad it went to a friend. Congrats!

Nice example of a quiet, dialogue-driven page that moves the story forward. Pollard's Peter Parker is classic. Those anniversary issues were really special and art like this made it moreso. I remember receiving this in the mail wrapped in newspaper bag paper, via Marvel's subscription plan.

Loved this story as a kid. Those first two panels are striking & establish a haunting mood to the tale. Pollard & Mooney were quite the powerful storytellers of their time.

This page is packed with non-stop tea drinking action!  My heart can't take it!  It was a rollercoaster ride from panel to panel!
