Friggin' Epic! So Cool!
Sweet pair o' pages!
That thar's five kinds of kick-ass.
The taxidermied corpse is the coolest, creepiest part of the Jonah Hex mythos. I love that we always know how it ends.
Having the pages where he learns this...hoo-boy. And Giffen nailed it.
Just great inking by Garzon to bring Giffen's vision to reality. The stark contrasts with shadow bring the story to an emotional farewell. The last panel is especially nice as the light through the door is pure white creating silhouettes in a room / world that is a shade of gray.
A fantastic pair of pages with amazing Giffen art. Congrats on putting the pair together, Ceasar!
These pages are a testament to the wonderfully twisted mind of Michael Fleisher (and Giffen, who was a bit twisted himself, was a good choice to render them). I'll be honest, I thought the Jonah Hex gets sent to the future and becomes Mad Max was a crazy idea, and I probably gave the Hex series short shrift when it came out. That being said, this sequence, both a callback to one of Fleisher's most memorable Jonah Hex stories and a farewell to the character he had written for many years, remains a shockingly memorable ending to the series.
Brilliant pair of Giffen Hex pages, congrats!
Very cool that you have this bookend to the Giffen run.
Of all the pages to have from the HEX series, these are the ones!
Creepy pairs well with beautiful in this one.
Congrats on being able to add such a fine addition to your coillection.
