Dampyr #104 (2008) pages 9-10: Gossiping with ghosts

The patrons of the ghost tavern chat with Nikolaus:

“Those two were about to come in. You wanted to play a trick on them… or did you like the girl, Nikolaus?”

“Mmm… maybe. But something distracted me. The cleanliness of this place leaves something to be desired today. Or maybe we have an unexpected visitor… It's too dark in that corner over there.” ( Kilauea has noticed a worm crawling on the counter.)

“Someone bring a light! Bozena!”

“Here you go, Nikolaus… aah!” (A suit of armor sits in the now-illumined corner.)

“Savnok! I knew it had to be you!”

“Ho ho ho! I wanted to surprise you, Nik!”

“Do you like the beer from the Devil's Stream?”

“A little bland for my taste!”

“What brings you here, Sir Savnok? Any interesting news?”

“Who knows? It depends…”

Nikolaus and Sir Savnok are ongoing characters in this series. Savnok always appears as suit of armor with worms dripping out. Nikolaus is a trickster. Both are nominally members of the evil "Dark Team" of extradimensional demons, but for reasons of their own they often side with the heroes.
