Description

Just when Harlan's confession to Hanneke was getting extra-awkward, they have to investigate noise in the bookstore downstairs.

“Brrr! This cold is intolerable!”

“Why didn't you stay in bed? Afraid of being alone?”

“Don't talk nonsense, macho man. Between the two of us, I'm the one who's a police officer. And if there are thieves…”

“It's all dark.”

“And your gun?”

“I left it downstairs, in the shop.”

“Ah, a brilliant idea.”

“I had locked the shop, but now the door is open.”

“Harlan, wait! What…” (A sudden flash blinds them.) “Ah, that light! I can’t see…”

“Caleb! Nikolaus! I might have expected to find one of you here, but both of you together, and at this late hour? Wow, the trouble must be really serious.”

(Nikolaus) “You be the judge. It's about…”

(Caleb Lost) “Just a moment!”

As you can see, when teleporting, the angelic and demonic characters temporarily can be seen in their true forms before taking on human guise.

Are there angels or devils crawling here?
I just want to know what blurs
And what is clear to see

Can't get over this artist's skill level. From the tile roof, to the bricks, shadows and textures. Just amazing work!

Great lighting and illustration quality all around! Those 3 double size horizontal panels really stand out, excellent!
