Dampyr #104 (2008) pages 54-55: At the bottom of the river (NSFW)

Kavka the raven went to fetch Nikolaus, who has news about Hanneke's disappearance:

“What frightened her so much? And why did she come looking for you?” ("Her" is Kavka.)

“In brief, because I live near the Vltava River, and she feared for the girl's life. Hanneke was kidnapped by the Vodník, the river demon, and dragged to the bottom of the Vltava. I took my boat and pushed it into the middle of the current. I despaired of finding her still alive... and this is what I saw.” (And now  we see it too.)

“Wake up, Hanneke.”

“Ugh! Splut... Didn't I drown? Where am I? Is this another one of those strange dreams?”

“I was ordered to bring you here, to the bottom of the Vlatva.”

“To the bottom of the Moldau? How can this not be a dream? You are an aquatic creature, and the beautiful naked girl is some kind of water nymph...” 

(Hanneke is from Belgium and calls the river by its German name "Moldau" rather than "Vlatva" as a local would.)

Kudos to Nikolaus for getting straight to the point without being cryptic. Those of you who have read Dampyr 54 will know that the nude woman is Lady Druj, an agent of Duke Nergal with prehensile hair. We will be seeing a lot of her in the rest of the story, in both senses, so I have marked the gallery as NSFW.
