Description

In Prague, Harlan and Caleb Lost explore Sonderling's former lair in the fortress of Vyšehrad for evidence of recent activity:

(Harlan) “Tesla, Kurjak, and I have been keeping this place under surveillance. But nothing strange has happened since Captain Verevkin and the ROA men were killed here.”

“Do you fear a trap like that, friend?”

“With you at my side, it's our enemies who should be afraid, Caleb. The luminous power of an amesha is superior to any force of darkness.” (amesha = angel)

“Yes, that's true, but I have a strange feeling... as if Nergal has a new card to play, something neither you nor I have thought of before.”

These two pages opening against each other have a nice layout symmetry and Cropera knows how to illustrate in the establishing shots and the close ups.  Panels 3 and 4 on each page have an eerie similarity to each other.

I get strong David Bowie vibes from Caleb Lost on pg 83!

Yes, he's based on a figure from a Renaissance painting but definitely gives a Bowie vibe with his androgynous face and platinum blond buzz cut.
