Description

Back in Dampyr #54, Samael offered to heal Tesla's vampirism, in exchange for her affections. He still wants the same thing:

“Samael!” (He kisses her.) “No! Let me go!”

“You are ungrateful, dear Tesla, towards your savior.”

“You... you destroyed that thing to save me.” (Tesla addresses Samael with the formal pronoun "hai" rather than informal "tu," showing that he is a stranger and/or higher rank.)

“The Black Sphinx. It's been here for a hundred thousand years, more or less... but it's no great loss. It bored me. And you had to feel pain in order to understand that here, you are as helpless as any other creature. But I will make up for it immediately, by healing the wound it inflicted on your pretty shoulder, my love.”

“Enough of your bullshit, Samael. Are you saying that you're working with whoever masterminded all this?” (She literally says, "Enough with the manfrina, Samael," referring to a folk dance of northern Italy.)

“You know where I stand. The last time we met, there was a truce. Have you forgotten that meeting?”

“I...how could I? You let me see the sun again, feel it on my naked skin. And then... there's something else I still feel... your kisses! Ever since then, my sleepless nights have never been the same. I see your face everywhere, in the darkness, and I feel the thrill of your caresses. Free me from this curse!”

“I cannot. Anyone who has spent a night of love with the Prince of Seducers will always have it within them, like an uncontrollable desire. But your fate is better than that of the others... because I still want you. And you know what my offer is, vampiress.”

“You're asking me to betray my friends. Just thinking about you, I already feel like I've betrayed...”

“...your soldier? Kurjak? Betrayal is a concept for mortals. Look in this mirror. See where your human lover is now...”

The last time we saw Kurjak, he was not doing too well against the threats in Sonderling's workshop.

Samael has the whole "dark, brooding, handsome, with flowing black hair" thing down pat, just like Harlan's dad Draka. Both seem based on Antonio Banderas' look in the 1994 "Interview with the Vampire" film, unless that was based on some earlier iteration as well. Check out Samael's long fingernails too.

Who would you even cast in this role?  Masculine, brooding, and with a lot of sizzle!

This has a 2 actor stageplay vibe across these 2 pages. I don't see Tesla abandoning her friends for "love" though.

Look at the man in the mirror.
