Spider Gwen by Greg Land 2023

            I met Greg Land when Crossgen brought their artists to San Diego Comic Con. I was a reader of their Ruse and Sojourn comic books so I stood in line and Greg drew Arwen from the Sojourn comic book. Later, I bought a Birds of Prey page and a Sojourn page from Greg’s then art dealer Tom Fleming. This March 2023 commission from a 4C opportunity appeared on eBay and caught my eye. I like the pretty face and expression, the flowing hair, and the lithe figure. I really loved the Spider Gwen character in the Sony Animation movie Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. I usually prefer to get my own commissions, but this was too nice to pass up.
