Description

Like many others, I am saddened to learn of Dave Cockrum�s passing. I count myself lucky to own three pieces of his work and wish I owned more. I am not sure why, but for some reason I finally got around to posting one of two Blue Beetle pages that I own by Dave last week, just a few days before his passing. I thought I would put the other one up now for folks to take a look at. Needless to say I was delighted to buy these pages. I loved Dave�s work on the Legion but they�re way beyond my price range so it is nice to have a sample of his work on one of my favorite characters.

I'm glad I was able to acquire a page from this annual, but you're lucky to have two. And both of them have Blue Beetle fighting for his life against Eclipso. Once again, great work by Dave Cockrum. By the way, this story made me a fan of Ted Kord. He really was a resourceful devil in this one!

Beautiful page which is probably one of the very best pages from that annual ! I'm a huge fan of Dave (often overlooked) DC art of the '90-'80 and your examples show how well he handled the DC stable of characters. Thanks for sharing !
