Hawkman 2, page 1

So 2025 was supposed to be the year I returned to collecting original art and it was...just not in the way I planned.

The plan was to get back to commissioning including my Amazing Blue Beetle theme and hopefully picking some more Justice Society related published pages.

But then things changed because an opportunity arrived allowing me to obtain one of my long time grail goals...a Murphy Anderson, Hawkman page.

I have Kane and Anderson and Kubert and Anderson, but I have never been able to obtain a pure Silver Age Hawkman page.

Earlier this year a Hawkman Splash Page turned up again on Mike Burkey's web page, to say I was surprised to see it since the page had been sold some months back is an understatement.

I reached out to Mike and he told me the page had been sold on an installment plan and the buyer ran into financial difficulties and had to return the page.

Mike and I quickly reached a deal and this splash is prominently displayed in our downstairs hallway.
