These are sample pages that I painted as an offshoot to Secret Wars. The story is Wolverine carries Sabertooth across a winter landscape. As Wolverine brings the legless, unconscious Sabertooth to Dr. doom, his legs grow back, and therefore it gets heavier and heavier...and stinkier. I wanted to do something different from my Batman Sample Pages and make it look colourful yet cold.

Lighting for Doom’s house/castle/HQ/fortress/ whatever you want to call it was supposed to be a lot more complicated. I made a sort of replica using books and flour for volumetric lighting and then took a lot of photos for reference and it was always disappointingly simple. There was a lot to clean up after.
