Description
very happy to got this page, been trying to save up for a byrne page, and its so hard, lol, champions art seems to be hard to find nice examples of, champions wasnt with us for very long as a series, 17 books, it came and went, but i always loved the team, the gil kane cover was one my favorites back then, i remember the book in mint being around 10 bucks mid 1980s, when i got it i was so stoked, had it on my wall, bob hall is a great marvel house style artist, i love we get all the teams on this one ,7 in one panel, we also get some nice kirby kracle from darkstar, the soviet super soldiers team together before they were officially called that, it also has a nice ghoulish transformation panel with ghostrider in mid flaming skull, just super stoked for this one, thanks for looking guys

As a kid and teen in the early to mid 80's, I was exposed to the Soviet Super Soldiers through their guest appearances in Hulk and Rom comics and I thought they were so cool. I love this page just for their appearance alone! Also, I didn't know they had appeared without the team name in this era, very interesting.

Lotta characters and bang for your buck on this page with some great Bob Hall (underrated artist!) and Giacoia art. Always appreciate a good Bela Lugosi reference too haha. Nice pickup!

The Champions is such a childhood nostalgic trip for me ever since I bought the first issue off the newsstand. Congrats on a great page featuring so many characters.
