That's a big time commission!
Uh, me. I didn’t watch the cartoon and collect the action figures back in the ’80s and ’90s. But I DID begin reading the title from issue #4 onward for a few years, in the thick of the TMNT craziness. A fabulous commission!
It pointed to their gritty past and pushed the franchise to the future! Quite a feat by the brothers who burst onto the scene to make TMNT have a buzz like it did in the 80's.
Never watched the cartoon or read the comics or collected the action figures but this is a superlative commission! Congrats!
Such a killer TMNT/Last Ronin illustration dude!!!! Escorza Bros really went all out here and you got the full color treatment, it looks dope.
P.S. I did everything and anything with TMNT from childhood onwards so I'm right there with ya (comics, cartoons, toys/figures, movies, videogames, blankets, PJs, socks, hell I prob had underwear lol). I really loved The Last Ronin, and was stoked to hear they were developing a live action movie version of it, and then just as bummed to hear recently that they have apparently shelved that project for now.
