Description

Ditko? Brunner? Colan?

Dan Adkins isn't on the Mount Rushmore of Doc Strange artists, but he did some fantastic, trippy work on those early Strange issues. Highly underrated in my humble opinion.

On this page from 1968, believing the Ancient One is plagued by the villainous, Nightmare -- the Master of the Mystic Arts casts a spell to awaken his mentor, to no avail.

Agreed - definitely underrated. Loads of great angles here, and lovely magic effects. Nice page!

From this era, Adkins a great job with making the stories more spooky as times were changing and soon the Marvel horror of the 70's would rule!

You don't need to be on the Mount Rushmore to do great work on a specific title or character, Adkins certainly fits that bill in spades. Great page !
