DescriptionMy first Static cover in the collection. This "Static Shock" title was launched as part of the New 52 reboot, and gave us a soft retelling of Static's origins.I really love how much motion Scott McDaniel's art brings to the series. You guys know I love when foreshortening is used to force perspective. It’s just a fun, energetic cover, but it also feels like a cool snapshot of Static stepping into a bigger DC spotlight. Speaking of which, this "new 52" design went on to inform a McFarlane Toys figure and a Funko, some of Static's first officially licensed toys since the 90s/00s. As a bonus, Scott was super kind! Right down Times Square to show he's back and ready for the spotlight! Excellent lens effect for the skyscrapers to curve in our focus.
