TINKER BELL - MODEL 2A

Following commissions from Yamato USA in 2017 for the creation of DC Comics figures, Luis Royo continued exploring this type of representation in figures from these pop culture universes, full of female characters.


Tinker Bell is a fictional character in the play and later novel Peter Pan and Wendy, by J.M. Barrie. She also appears in numerous film adaptations, including Disney's popular animated film Peter Pan, a version of which has appeared in various media. Although she is sometimes spoiled and vengeful, at other times she is helpful and kind to Peter. The extremes in her personality are explained in the story by the fact that her fairy size prevents her from having more than one feeling at a time. Tinker Bell, like other fairies in Barrie's works, can make others fly by sprinkling "pixie dust" on them.

When one thinks of Tinker Bell, many images come to mind. However, in this work, Luis Royo presents the character’s simplicity, through which we obtain a perfect archetype that is also personalized by the artist. Among her features, not only do her golden hair and green dress stand out, but also the delicate essence characteristic of one of Disney’s most recognizable fairies.
