Jean Grey by Gene Ha, San Jose 2025

      Gene Ha came to my attention with his work on the Alan Moore title Top 10. I met Gene at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle when he was promoting his creator-owned project Mae. I chatted with the artist at his booth and bought a Batgirl/Barbara Gordon library print. Gene told me his wife Lisa is a librarian. I started following Gene on social media and found he participated in many free library events and drew free sketches for kids. I went to Galaxy Con San Jose for one day and went to say hello to Gene and met his wife Lisa who is retired now. I purchased his book You Asked for It! Sketch Commissions and Doodles by Gene Ha! (2024) and he added Jean Grey in marker.
