Description
Unpublished.
On this page Hal is taking leave of Dorine who is in love with him.
This page would have wrapped the story of Hal being exiled from Earth and having to return but was probably cut due to space constraints.

Dorine, Dorine, Dorine, Dorine
I'm begging of you Keith don't take my Hal
Dorine, Dorine, Dorine, Dorine
Please don't take him just because of Dan

Your beauty is beyond compare
With great Pollard and Adkins here
With ivory skin and eyes on emerald green

Exile is like a wealth of inks
Your voice is soft like Lantern rings
And I cannot compete with you, Dorine

Hal talks about you in his sleep
There's nothing Jordan do to keep
From crying when he calls your name, Dorine

And I can easily understand
How you could easily take my man
But you don't know what he means to me, Dorine

Pollard is perfect on every character he touched. The alternating borders/borderless panels add dynamism to the page, keeping an active feel to the goodbye scene.

This is a great little page that I have to admit, makes me a little green with envy. Congratulations on picking up this one.

No words needed, beautiful page! Shame it didn't see publication.

A touching page, particularly with her raised hand - as if thinking of waving but realising there is no point.

Thanks.

I bought this from Pollard and at the time did not realize it was unpublished but I was struck by how  evocative a page it was.

I agree! I was surprised to find it was unpublished but I would have bought it anyway.

Crystal clear storytelling and rock solid anatomy. Kudos to Adkins for the equally lovely rendering.
